Foldd Privacy Policy

Foldd (“the app”) is a paid, offline paper-folding puzzle game. We have built it to collect as little information as possible; in most cases, none.
What we collect
No gameplay or usage data is automatically sent to us. Foldd has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no telemetry, and no crash-reporting service. We operate no app servers and have no account system or login. The only information we receive off-device is correspondence you deliberately email for support; a puzzle code you choose to share goes only to the destination you select in the iOS share sheet.
In version 1.0, the only data stored by the app lives locally on your device:

Settings, then Reset Progress, clears gameplay progress: campaign best-fold counts and stars, Daily Puzzle streaks and history, Zen puzzle counts, and total-fold statistics. It keeps your settings, earned appearance unlocks and player-created puzzles. Deleting Foldd removes all locally stored app data from that device.
Sharing a puzzle code
If you choose Share for a puzzle you created, Foldd passes its compact puzzle code to the iOS share sheet. The code is sent only to the app or person you select.
Optional support correspondence
If you email for support, we receive your email address, message, and any device or iOS details you choose to include. We use this information only to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue. It is not used for advertising, tracking or analytics, and may be retained only as needed to handle the request and maintain reasonable support records.
iCloud and Game Center
Version 1.0 does not enable iCloud or Apple Game Center. Foldd does not sync your progress between devices, submit scores to leaderboards or report achievements.
Children
Foldd is suitable for all ages, and its gameplay does not request personal information. Children should contact support only with help from a parent or guardian.
Required-reason API declarations
Foldd uses UserDefaults to persist the on-device data listed above. This is Apple required-reason category CA92.1, access information from the same app in accordance with Apple’s documentation. This use is declared in the app’s PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest.
Third-party services
Foldd ships with no third-party SDKs. Optional support correspondence is handled by your chosen mail service and the developer’s email provider.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what the app collects, we will update this page and the change will take effect with the next app update.
